Review 2008-2014 Development Plan
REVIEW THE CARRICK ON SUIR TOWN DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2008 & PREPARATION OF A NEW DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE AREA
Carrick on Suir Town Council gave notice on the 8th February 2012 in accordance with Section 11 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 – 2011 that Carrick on Suir Town Council, being the Planning Authority for the area, intend to review the existing Carrick on Suir Town Development Plan 2008 and to prepare a new development plan for the area.
Written Submissions at the Pre-Draft Stage were invited from the 10th February to the 10th April. The Notice clearly stated that requests or proposals for zoning of particular land for any purpose shall not be considered at the Pre-Draft stage. A Public Meeting was also held in the Carraig Hotel on the 7th March.
It has also been determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment and an Appropriate Assessment will be required in support of the new Development Plan.
All of the submissions received will be considered under a Manager’s Report which is currently being prepared.
It is intended that the Draft Carrick on Suir Town Development Plan 2013 will be available for public inspection from November 2012.
A copy of the Two Year Progress Report on the existing Development Plan, the Issues Paper and Background Document regarding the preparation of the new development plan in addition to the Screening Decisions can be downloaded from the links below and will be available for public inspection at the offices of Carrick on Suir Town Council, Town Hall, Carrick on Suir and at the Planning Section, South Tipperary County Council, County Hall, Emmet Street, Clonmel.
