RAPID

The RAPID (Revitalising Areas through Planning Investment and Development) Programme has been in place in Carrick-on-Suir since 2003. The RAPID programme is aimed at improving the quality of life and the opportunity available to residents of the most disadvantaged communities in Irish cities and towns. Through the programme significant resources have been available to initiative and implement projects in Carrick-on-Suir.
The RAPID programme is managed through an Area Implementation Team which is made up statutory agencies, community and voluntary organisations as well as community representatives. A RAPID Coordinator services the programme.
