Carrick has a long and proud tradition of producing excellent horses. From the training of champions to the early work horses that shaped the local environment, horses have played a very important role in Carrick-on-Suir life.
This tradition is being kept alive today with many quality stud farms in the Carrick region and also in the quality equestrian centres that are in close proximity to the town.
