Travelling to Carrick-on-Suir
Carrick-on-Suir is located on the National Road 24 (N24), the route which runs from Rosslare Ferry Port to Limerick on the west coast. The town itself is in Ireland's largest inland county, namely Tipperary. Although the majority of the town is in Co. Tipperary, some of the town resides in neighbouring Co. Waterford, an issue which can lead to some highly charged debate among locals!.
From Rosslare:

Follow the N24 from Rosslare to New Ross and onwards to Waterford City. From here continue to follow the N24 in the direction of Limerick. Carrick-on-Suir will be the first major town you will encounter once you leave Waterford, about a 30 minute drive away and roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes from Rosslare.
From Cork:
Whether landing by ferry or plane in Cork, follow the N25 towards Waterford to find your way to Carrick-on-Suir. In approximately 1 hour you will arrive in the village of Lemybrien. Turn left off the N25, onto the R676 and this road leads straight to Carrick-on-Suir passing the scenic Comeragh mountains along the way.
From Limerick/Galway:
Once on the outskirts of Limerick, follow the N24 all the way to Carrick-on-Suir passing through the historic towns and villages of Monard, Tipperary, Bansha, Cahir and Clonmel.
From Dublin:
Take the N7 in the direction of Naas (20km) and continue onto the M7 for 10km. Turn left onto the M9/N9 for Carlow (40km). Continue on N9/N10 to Kilkenny (40km). From Kilkenny ring road travel on the N76 for 35km and turn left onto the R696 for Carrick-on-Suir (10km). Travel time is 2 hours 45 minutes.
