River Based
Carrick-on-Suir is navigable from any part of Ireland's inland waterways. As the river is tidal to Carrick-on-Suir it is necessary to travel with the tides.

USE OF PUBLIC MARINA
Carrick-on-Suir Public Marina is operated by Carrick-on-Suir Boat Club by agreement with Carrick-on-Suir Town Council.
On arrival to the marina by boat, visitors can exit the facility by depressing the security gate push-button on the access gate. A swipe card may then be purchased, per the charges outlined below, at the Carraig Hotel, Main Street (200 metre walk) subject to the presentation of craft insurance policy details and the payment of a deposit.
All visitors are expected to comply with the marina facility rules and regulations, a copy of which will be furnished on the payment of fees.
